Breezes from Autumn's first dawn
Oh, sweet, simple life!
The central air went out yesterday! Oh, how did we ever survive without that modern contraption? Quite well. Where I grew up in the country next to the cotton patch, not one AC unit would have been found. Everyone enjoyed open windows, big round fans, and glasses of iced tea. Last night I had a chance to revisit those days. I turned on the ceiling fans, the attic fan, and opened all the windows. A better night's sleep I have not had since those days of over 40 years ago in my childhood, country home!!! The repair man just left. It's a small fix, but it will be Monday before he can return. That's a good thing. It always helps to revisit one's roots of simplicity! I'm looking forward to the night breezes putting me to sleep! For more Haiku My Heart Friday visits click here!
