Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather,
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over!

Oh, how I love this poem! Mother has been in Heaven for 13 years. As those years have come and gone, the memories of her gentle hands during my childhood years, her comforting voice through my teens, and her shared wisdom when my own daughter came into the world are memories that will never be erased from the heart. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers everywhere!
