Pink Skies?

As we look forward to another scorching day here in Dixie, some of our neighbors to the East are getting ready to meet Hurricane Irene.  The beautiful pink sky in this picture, which was taken before another hurricane, looks very foreboding.  Skies on the East coast will probably start to show their stormy colors in the next few hours.  Prayers are being sent to all those awaiting the storm.  Stay safe and please don't take Mother Nature lightly.  Her wrath was seen in our state on April 27th this year with the devastating tornadoes.  The only good thing about a hurricane is you know that it's coming, and you have time to evacuate.  Here's hoping that everyone will do just that if you are in Irene's path. Our daughter is in Maryland and we have our fingers crossed for her. It's supposed to be 99 here today, oh Fall where are you?

Thanks for the good wishes! Our power just came back on today; we've begun playing "pick-up sticks" with the fallen branches and one tree; ah, the luxury of running water, internet, and television! We are in NJ; where are you in Dixie? I'm sorry you got the tornadoes--very frightening. Your photo is beautiful but does give a presentiment of unleashed nature--an unbelievable year we've had!
