Haiku My Heart

Up in the tree limbs
A bird's eye view of Christmas
Takes note of mankind.

I wonder if this beautiful red cardinal is chuckling to himself.  So much hustle and bustle to find joy when joy abounds in his abode!!  Let Heaven and Nature sing their carols!

It's Haiku My Heart Friday hosted by recuerda mi corazon.  If you enjoy reading haiku or would like to share your own, click here!  Thank you, Rebecca, for being our hostess.  It is so much fun to pen word pictures to share each week.  Happy holidays!  (Photo from Flickr)

marilyn,
first...what a perfectly beautiful photograph. the cardinal giving pause in a tangle of branches.
may we all manage such peace in the tangle of this season.
may we find joy and comfort in simple pleasures.
may this peace
cause us to sing out beyond the mystery of it all.

Your photo is so full of joy and beauty. Thank you for this gift to us. (Are you getting snow in Alabama?) And your haiku is so true... this little bird knows how to enjoy the beauty that abounds in his world, by simply opening his eyes to see...

I lived for many years on the East Coast, where cardinals were abundant. Out here in the desert Southwest, I miss their brightness!

Blessed One, Haiku My Heart!
