I'm Thinking Fall!!

The weather here is really cooperating. For the most part, our Southern Summer has been much cooler than in recent years. The temps have been so mild that I feel guilty and ungrateful for even mentioning that we need a little rain! With the cool breezes during early morning and late evening, thoughts start to wander to my favorite season...Autumn or, as I say more readily, FALL! Fall when the leaves let go and cover the grass that has grayed. Fall when school bells ring and the big, yellow bus drives down our street at predictable times. Fall when the squirrels are scampering everywhere in the yard trying to gather lots of goodies for the cold weather. Fall when a nice cozy quilt feels so good! Checking out one of my favorite online stores, Seventh Avenue, these pics of the chenille spread and hand crocheted coverlet brought back memories of Septembers of so long ago. Though we're only in the waning days of July (where DID it go?), it's not too early to think about sprucing up a bit for the next season. Are you already planning your Fall decor with a bit of crafting and shopping?

That chenille spreads looks very similar to the one that covered my grannies bed. Loved it.
