Organizing the Pantry

One November morning right before Thanksgiving, I decided it was time to organize the kitchen pantry. I wanted to be able to see at a glance items that were missing, and make holiday season cooking more enjoyable. The time it took to organize the pantry really did the trick. I have so enjoyed just taking a peek when it's time for grocery shopping and making a quick note of items to buy. Cooking is so much easier now, too. Before I started my organizing, I checked so many sites for tips on making the pantry more user friendly. On my trek, I ran across a really neat idea for pantry doors. I love these pics from Country Living. Do any of you have a screen door on your pantry?? One wouldn't guess that the green door leads to a food storage area off the kitchen. So charming...My small cottage kitchen doesn't lend itself to the door, but I love the look.
