From My Garden

It is a blustery morning. We're expecting thunderstorms later today. I had to take care of some gardening starting at 6 a.m. I repotted lavender, brought the peppers in the container garden into the screened porch, and clipped a pretty pink tea rose and wildflower for a mini bouquet. The earth is recovering nicely from our 2 year drought. Lots of rain over the last few months. I just spoke to the folks who help keep my yard. It will be Thursday before they are available...lots of grass to cut! Speaking of which, I made a rather "offbeat" purchase that arrived yesterday. I ordered the old fashioned, no motor lawn mower. Now I have quite a yard to cut. The UPS man said that "someone would get plenty of exercise with that mower and my yard!" Well, that someone is me, myself, and I. Perhaps, I'm not ready to say adieu to the lawn company, but, I do intend to cut the area around my flower garden with my "green" mower. It is eco friendly...no maintenance....just lots of work! Just had a thought...I need to name that mower! We're partners for a better environment and better health! Hope your gardens are kissed by the sun today!

My poor garden and yard have been neglected these last few weeks while I was away...that's the plan for this weekend!!

I'm laughing -- The Beach Boys are singing about the Warmth of the Sun -- perfect for me coming home from California!!
