Well, call me crazy, but I'd really like to think so! As my trips around the sun :) increase, so does my appreciation for each season. I like the Summer days when only iced tea will quench the thirst. I revel in Fall's cool evenings on the screened porch; and, I enjoy bone chilling Winter nights!
It's just not time for daffodils and blooming dogwoods. Yet, Spring is such a charmer that it's tempting to fall for early blossoms while looking for a few ideas to spruce up the house for the next couple of months.
I'm just not giving in, Spring. Just NOT going there. So, with one small change, this looks like a perfect wreath from January until the early days of Spring. The nest will be without eggs...waiting for the robin's song to return in due time. After all..."To everything there is a season...."
How are you decorating these winter days? Crafting a new look for your nest? Reading a classic? Sipping hot cocoa? Planning a new soup and sandwich for dinner? Throwing on a vintage scarf as you slip out the door for work? Wherever you go, whatever you do, take in January's quiet offerings.

I am pink spring all year round & only at Christmas do I add pink & white Christmas touches to my stationary decor.
Tho we have a daffodil about 8" high in the garden here in MD., the spring bulbs are 2" to 4" above the ground & the rose bushes have new growth. Oy! Itching to get going but know that this shall not last ... so I am enjoying the chill as they will continue to gently rest beneath the soil's warmth for yet another season.

Whoa Nellie....Winter just officially started not too long ago. I LOVE Winter although I love big snowstorms and I don't get them here in the South...what was I thinking? I have to move back...anyone want a home in the Ozarks? Yes, Daffodils are up here too...no blooms but if this warmth keeps up it won't be long! Enjoy!

We are in the even deeper south and it doesn't go below 50. Been in the 70's all day.
It's hard to get into the hot cocoa mood with that. But I try.
Well, I'd take a cool, unsweetened iced tea with lemon over hot cocoa any day. It dips way below zero in my parts of the woods! :-D
