It's a New Day!

Wow! I have joined the high speed internet world!! After steadfastly refusing change, I finally gave in and updated my internet connections!! My daughter and son-in-law have been after me for quite awhile to get out of the "stone age." I do not like change. If it's not broken, don't fix it...That's my motto...But, I have resigned myself to slowly breaking free from the outdated techno stuff that I have held onto for years. Funny thing is...In another life, I taught computer science/programming in the late 80's and early 90's....Ah, YOUTH!! I even networked a school computer lab when school computer labs were very rare!!! Then, after leaving the traditional classroom setting in 1995, I just wanted my technology experience to get me where I wanted to go...not concerned about how it got me there. After years out of the "loop", it was refreshing to know that I can do a few upgrades for myself...Well, honestly, how can you miss when it's all color coded?? Nothing was color coded in the old days....Now, I am so excited to be able to visit blogs so quickly!!!! I'm spending the rest of my "leisure" time this week doing something old fashioned with art! Enough of the high tech world for now!!! It's a beautiful Bama day. The birds at one of my feeders were so sweet this morning. They are chirping and flitting so quickly these days to the tall trees behind my house. Yesterday afternoon I stood in awe of a very happy squirrel that scampered from my deck to the fence post into the trees....so skillfully manuevering across 1/2 an acre of woods as I looked on. Then, finally, he gracefully landed and took off into a neighbor's yard. All of nature has come alive the last couple of days. Even though it's March, I'm reminded of the Christmas carol, "Joy to the World." "Let Heaven and nature sing!" Have a blessed day!

Oh the joys of doing something not touched for awhile (technology) and bringing yourself "up to speed". Then taking that joyous feeling into the studio and creating something beautiful with art. Sounds wonderful..can't wait until you share!
