A Very Special Birthday

The fields he tilled for many years!

Today is my daddy's 95th birthday!  How I wish he were here to celebrate, but daddy's been gone for 10 years now.  The picture shows the fields at a small college where Daddy was the foreman for 14 years way back in the 40's and 50's.  Now the land is patched with green and surrounded by rusty fences, but at one time, it provided food for lots of hungry boys at the small private school.  Daddy saw to the planting, harvesting, and enjoyment of the crops!  It's so comforting to be able to visit those same fields again and know that Daddy's spirit is still there because he took such pride in his work.  We miss you, Daddy!  Hug Mama for me and have a wonderful birthday in Heaven.
