Sweet Pink Embroidery

As a very young girl, I loved to watch Mama embroider dresser scarfs. She taught me the  lazy daisy, chain, and french knot stitches.  Peaceful summer afternoons!  It has been a lot of years since I've even thought about embroidery.  Then a few weeks ago, I received an email from Herrschner's online store.  If you like crafts...any craft....visit their site.  I clicked on embroidery, and some of the sweetest linens appeared.  These cute birdhouse kitchen towels would take just a jiffy to embellish.  I haven't ordered yet because summer brings so many things to the plate, but what a great early autumn idea.  Lest, I forget  HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!!!!

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts our weekly pink posts!!!  Visit Beverly and find other Pink Saturday offerings.

Oh, I love these. Wish I did all these sewing things you gals can do. I failed. Mother was so frustrated with me at my attempts, expert sewer she was.

I love the birdhouses.

Have a lovely PS week ~

These are very pretty pieces of embroidery. I have SOOOOOO much. I used to do it, until my eyes just want let me now. Lots of it is vintage and handed down from generation to generation. I use it all over the house.
