Remember These?

Beauty was painful with these rollers!
Pink and Gold Sparking Tissue Holder

Happy Pink Saturday!  I thought it might be fun to take a walk down memory lane today with a few items that might have been found in a lady's boudoir during the '60s.  First up is a vintage pink plastic wicker curler basket.  I found it at Tumbleweed Cottage on Etsy, and it is available for sale, ladies! This one probably held the HUGE plastic rollers, shown in the second pic, that we used to get the perfectly straight hair.  I remember hanging my head off the bed the night before school pictures. Getting no sleep was a small price to pay for the possibility of having "the look."  I couldn't find a pic of the pink ones I owned, but these purple ones are fab!  Next we have the pink plastic, complete with golden stars, tissue holder.  A must for every girl!  PINK!!!  What would we do without that color?  It's always been in style!  (Photos from the Web)

I don't remember the basket, but it is oh so cute!
We had tons of the pink spongy rollers, they were everywhere.

Hi,

Visiting you from Pink Saturday.

Yes, I remember the roller basket in pink and all different size rollers from that era. I love that funky stuff. LOL. My Mom had it all at one time or another especially in pink. Great posting.

Please visit me too.

Funny...you really hung your head off the side of the bed all night??!! That's cute! My mom put sponge rollers in my hair and that wasn't too uncomfortable to sleep in :)

I loved this post! I remember my sister having a curler basket, and there's one at my favorite antique mall that I would bring home if it was cheaper. I would so love to have that sparkly tissue holder too!
Happy Pink Saturday,

Oh my. I do remember the pink bucket. My grandmother had one. This was so much fun to see.

Yes, we did do some crazy things all in the name of beauty. I slept with the sponge rollers. Those were quite as bad.

Have a great weekend.
