Only One Mother

It has been almost 11 years since mama went to Heaven.  Yet, not one day goes by without her still being here to teach, guide, and love me.  She's right there in the kitchen.  She's in the flowering garden that is home to her favorite rose.  Her words of wisdom, which really seemed silly at the time, haunt me.  Perhaps, she is most present when I look in the mirror.  I love you, Mama!  Happy Mother's Day!

Only One Mother

Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather,
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,

But only one mother the world wide over!
