Chantilly Lace

Happy Pink Saturday! One of my posts earlier this week recalled some of my fave perfumes way back when I was a teen. It's amazing how a simple perfume can be a mile marker on life's journey. Some of your comments on the post about your own favorites brought back even more memories to me. I had completely forgotten about Love's Baby Soft. There is one perfume that I saved to share here on Pink Saturday. Chantilly Lace was a most feminine floral. It's still available at many perfume counters today. I remember wearing Chantilly when I wanted to be so sophisticated! I first bought the perfume because of its beautiful PINK packaging; and, then, I fell in love with the scent! Notice how the pink on the box was embellished with a lacy white print. It made a girl feel so special and pretty just to look at it! I realized when I found the pic that Chantilly Lace was also a "Dana" perfume as were Ambush and Tabu. Dana had the market cornered from teen to young sophisticate!

I hope that you are having a warm, spring-like Pink Saturday! May it be filled with a few "peeping" florals of its own as the first few buds make their presence known! Thanks, Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound for keeping us In the Pink every weekend! Visit Beverly's blog for more Pink Links!

I remember Chantilly Lace perfume, altho I don't think I had a bottle. There have been a number of Chantilly Lace's over time....The song 'Chantilly Lace' by Jerry Lee Lewis...Chantilly Lace had a pretty face....remember? I also have a longarm quilt pattern called Chantily Lace! Thanks for reminding me....I have a quilt that that needs Chantilly Lace...the pattern not the perfume!

Memory lane! My dad used to sing the song Chantilly Lace to me when I was a little girl, and my Mum used to wear Tabu. Thanks for the smile!

OH my did you bring back some memories for me with this post. My first bottle was given to me when I was young by some friends that were stationed in France and they sent us a huge box full of Christmas gifts and mine was this. Loved it. (had the biggest crush on their son too) hahaha
Take care
Maggie
