If you were in elementary school in the late 50's...early 60's....this "How to Tell Time Book" is probably familiar to you. When I found a thrift store copy many months ago, I grabbed it without thinking because it brings back so many memories. For some reason, Miss Wolfe, my second grade teacher, chose to teach time apart from the morning math class. Time was its own class taught after lunch. Mama bought me a copy of this Little Golden Book to help me because elapsed time somehow eluded me! I was too sleepy to pay attention after lunch :)! I also used this book to "play school" with my neighbors. It was great fun for us to pretend to be Miss Wolfe and quiz the other "students." What a surprise I found on Country Living's website today! In the craft section, this very book is shown altered as a REAL clock. I can't bring myself to alter my special thrift store copy, so, I will decoupage a cover picture on a "box" canvas. I'll buy a clock kit for a few dollars and have one sweet memory to share because it will hang on my REAL classroom wall quite nicely! How about you? Have you crafted from " a memory" lately?
