Dedicated to Those Summer Loves!

My age is showing!!! Beach Boy music, a retro Woody,....need I say a '60's boomer lives on these pages? Ah, the endless summers of a youth well spent. Cruisin' on those Saturday nights in 1969 between 3 popular food drive-ins was the "high life" in my small Southern town. You could find me listening to "Surfin' USA" on an 8 track player while my "steady" looked so cool driving us down the main drag in a '65 "souped up" Chevy Impala. He was the coolest because he had an 8 track player and owned the coveted Beach Boys tape! Blonde hair, blue eyes...yes, the typical summer "beach boy." Unfortunately, we were 2000 miles away from California!!! Of course, I had the typical "to the waist" hair that had been kissed by the sun. Ah!!! What a life! California Dreamin' at its best. Come along and reminisce with me...What is your favorite memory from your 16th Summer???

Long live the 60's! I always wanted to be a hippie, but got married instead and had 3 sons. OOOOhhhh I remember the great music and dancing from those days.

Hmmm...16th summer...it was an amazing camp I went to for a week in the mountains; we had so much fun up there, we cried when we had to leave! Nothing was ever like that again.
