Boxwood Container Garden

Boxwoods have never really been one of my favorite garden residents, but I have new respect for them after visiting Southern Living. Look how beautiful this evergreen bush can be as a container garden plant. Even a small boxwood has a lot of elegant impact. They are very "care-free." Here are the tips!

1. Choose a 16 inch fast draining pot.

2. Use good, rich soil.

3. Water thoroughly after planting and once a week thereafter.

4. "Feed" the boxwood once a year.

Boxwoods do stay green the entire year! So, they can brighten your garden areas even on those bleak, cold days. Yes, I think I've made a new friend!!! (Photo from Southern Living)

I saw a beautiful Boxwood, heart shaped wreath the other day; the instructions said that if you spray it with water it will stay green! Amazing! They look great in those planters!
