To Dream, Perhaps to Slumber

One of the greatest joys of internet surfing is finding instant eye candy for decorating. I have a small bedroom that is now used as the "catch-all" for whatever passes near its doorway. Determined to make better use of the space, I have looked at so many sites for ideas. Keeping it as a bedroom, albeit one of "chosen" treasures only, feels right. According to Country Living, the "sleeping chamber" shown here is reminiscent of the 18th century. Its countenance is so peaceful. There is one small "tweaking" for my personal taste. I think mirrors need to be "unencumbered." So, the hanging decoration would need to be placed elsewhere. The cottage quilt, the soft shams, and the plates' arched arrangement invite the guest to get comfortable....perhaps to dream....perchance to slumber. Two more inspirations have caught my fancy as well. I will be sharing those over the weekend. One is "boho chic." Another brings a beautiful canopy to dress up a simple Wabi-Sabi space. Stay tuned!!! There are decisions to be made before spring decides to unpack for a few months' stay, strewing her charms everywhere!

What a great inspiring illustration! I've reorganized our main bedroom many times. The challenge for me is to stop using the room as a catch all. Seems that happens again and again. But, gee, the extra treasures have to go somewhere. I'll be anxious to see how your room turns out! Have fun!

I love those frames on the pics on the wall. I have a guardian angel framed in it seems like exactly the same frame. I've had it since I was about 10 years old. Such a pretty frame.

Pretty design. I am like you and would prefer the mirrow without the hanging decoration. Puts everyone in the spring mood.
