A Cottage Porch

As I sit writing this post, I can hear the rain pouring down. We have had a very rainy weekend. That's quite all right! The ground will be so good for planting in a few weeks. Of course, rainy days are good days for Spring cleaning. My goal is just one closet. Before I start...I can hardly wait...LOLOL....I am looking at online decorating galleries. The pictures are not cleaned closets, but they might inspire me to get up and get movin'! I just happened upon this cottage porch. Is it not to die for??? Last week I posted a few pics of bedrooms that had lots of personality. This week I shall post pics of porches that will make us even more anxious for Spring. One note about that word Spring...I know that we were taught not to capitalize the first letter, but I cannot bring myself to type a lower case "s" for such a delightful season....or any other season for that matter. Who thought of that rule???? (Photo from Better Homes and Gardens)

Hi Marilyn - thanks for visiting my blog - am paying you a return visit. Spring - oh how I want it to come - one day here in UK it is spring-like, the next there is a cold North wind. As for spring-cleaning - I don't want to think about that. Call again. Best wishes.

Now that would be my ideal porch. There's another adorable porch in a magazine I got recently...maybe this month's Country Living? You must check it out!

Such a very pretty porch. I could see my self sitting there sipping on a cafe au lait looking out those lovely windows into the world. Sigh...I always capitalize Spring too. I'm like you I can's seem to bring myself not too...likewise for the other seasons...I don't know who thought up that rule?

Hello! So happy to make your acquaintance. I followed Kelly's trail here and had quite a lovely visit with you! I am such a desert dweller I actually had to google the Heart of Dixie to be certain that you live in Alabama! I was quite close to you last July, when I went to my son's graduation from Fort Benning . . . and I must confess, I finally understood what visitors in my little valley said, "But it's a DRY heat". **blows kisses** Deborah
