Welcome to a Year of Possibilities!

It's the perfect time to "begin again." About this time last year I started blogging. It was one of those things that I had wanted to do for a long time, but I just never got around to it. Then one Sunday afternoon while visiting my daughter and her family, I happened to mention that I wanted my own blog. My gracious son-in-law introduced me to blogspot. As with all my new adventures, my passion for blogging gave way to daily (or almost) posts. Swaps, swaps, giveaways..just couldn't get enough!!! Then, as the year got underway, the posts became more infrequent. I was late on swaps..late on mailings..I was overwhelmed. TIME OUT! In autumn a post was as fleeting as the leaves on the trees. Along comes December, and I'm thinking the holidays will be a great time to share with readers. Well, we know that is probably the most hectic time to try and squeeze in posts...It's a New Year. I celebrate my blog's one year anniversary this month! In honor of that most auspicious personal milestone, I am sharing my first New Year's resolution!

I resolve that I am recommitting to Unshelved Words. The time away has really made Unshelved Words more dear to my heart! So, as we greet 2009, may we follow Dickenson's advice and "dwell in possiblity." Blogs offer a unique opportunity to connect with wonderful, creative friends from around the globe!

Many of these cherished friends have showered me with awards! Today, I want to return their gracious giving.

My first Dwell In Possibility Award goes to the following talented writers/artists/bloggers. These are the first recipients. There are more to come as the weeks pass. I have decided that "Franklin" is the banner puppy for this award. He looks very dedicated as these bloggers have been throughout my first year in blogland.

To accept this award I ask only the following 3 small favors.

1. Do not pass along the award. Franklin will visit other recipients throughout 2009 from his home, Unshelved Words.

2. Copy Franklin's award pic and post on your blog with a link to Unshelved Words!

3. JUST DWELL IN THE POSSIBILITIES OF YOUR WONDERFUL, CREATIVE TALENTS IN 2009!
