Special Prayers for Lorie

Since I ventured into blogland, I have met so many courageous ladies who have met cancer and survived to bring encouragement to others. As I write this post, many, many prayers are needed for a young lady, Lorie, who is a close family friend. Lorie is 36 years old, a wife and the mother of 2 young boys. During her pregnancy with the second, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Knowing that the type was very aggressive, she underwent a few rounds of chemo while pregnant. What an amazing story that her son was born with no lasting effects. Lorie has continued to battle the disease. She has travelled to M.D. Anderson Hospital from Birmingham on many, many occasions over the last 2 years. For the first time since being diagnosed, she was able to spend this Christmas at home with her family. Yesterday I learned that Lorie has been given less than a week to live. As all of her friends and family are preparing for the worst, please pray for Lorie, her husband, and those precious sons. Lorie believes in God's grace and goodness. We are praying for a miracle, but we understand that we must accept His will. Lorie has a Caring Bridge Journal. If you would like to visit and read her entire journey, please leave a comment and I will send you her Caring Bridge website address. Thanks for your prayers.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this about a precious young mother. Sounds like she has such a battle with cancer and I will send my prayers and good thoughts to Lorie and her family.
It is hearing stories like this that make me more grateful than ever for my health.
