A Beloved Author/Artist

The world lost a beloved author and illustrator on June 18th. Tasha Tudor passed away at the age of 92. Somehow, I missed the news last week. I am saddened to learn of her death. I've always loved her name. Tasha...very elegant...yet very whimsical like her wonderful artwork. From time to time, I would visit her family website and catch up on the tours, book signings, family recipes, etc. As her years grew in number, I was amazed to find her schedule keeping a steady rhythm. Her Vermont lifestyle with the gardens, Corgi fur babies, cats, chickens, writing, art....a fairy tale set in motion. "It was the stuff that dreams are made of." Her talent will live on for generations. When I visited the family website today, I found the quote below. Such a lovely lady!

"Einstein said that time is like a river, it flows in bends. If we could only step back around the turns, we could travel in either direction. I'm sure it's possible. When I die, I'm going right back to the 1830s. I'm not even afraid of dying. I think it must be quite exciting." ~Tasha Tudor
