British Birds

These birds are British. My daughter is in London for business. Being a shutter-bug enthusiast, she is most graciously sending me lots of pics. Here in the South we saw a bit of ice and snow yesterday. It was the first time in many years that the snow elf paid a visit. I was at the grocer, and I saw children squealing with delight because it was their first taste of snow on their tongues. These children were at least 9 or 10 years old. We might get another taste of the fluffy stuff on Saturday. Our temps will be hovering at freezing during the days all weekend. At night we're dipping into the teens. BRRR!!!! Chili is in the slow cooker!

Hi Marilyn,
I really like that poem. Yes, January did fly by, and I, for one, don't mind at all! It's the longer of the two 'winter months' and Saturday is Ground Hogs Day! So, spring is right around the corner.
We here in the cold Northeast really get excited about the first day of spring. Winter is so dreary and cold. It seems to linger way too long.
