Gotta have a porch whereever I live...who cares about the house...it just has to have a screened in porch...well, and maybe a bathroom. :-)Susan (Between Naps On The Porch.net)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09655622740971576915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047480406231111832.post-77929984082195256512009-05-15T23:07:00.000-05:002009-05-15T23:07:00.000-05:00We had a porch that we played on and spent the hot...We had a porch that we played on and spent the hot summer nights sleeping on. Of course, we lived in the country and back then you did not have to worry about anyone bothering you. Heck, you didn't even have to lock your doors. Anyway it sure brings back memories. My great-grandmother had a glider and lived next door to us. I use to sit on the glider with her. That seems like lifetimes ago.

KrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047480406231111832.post-53660389960287881742009-05-15T15:02:00.000-05:002009-05-15T15:02:00.000-05:00Aack, I've never lived anywhere with a real porch....Aack, I've never lived anywhere with a real porch. Maybe this will be the year I get at least a back porch (aka deck) that will eventually morph into a 3 seasons room. Who can stand to be inside all the time when the weather's so wonderful?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1047480406231111832.post-23070835510255663002009-05-15T09:29:00.000-05:002009-05-15T09:29:00.000-05:00When we were growing up, my sister and I shared th...When we were growing up, my sister and I shared the sleeping porch in summer. We loved it! On rainy days, we'd play cards and read all day. At night, we'd watch for lightning then pull the covers over our heads while listening to the crashes of thunder that followed! Great memories!Coralie Cederna Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13396599065245860045noreply@blogger.com
